Easy Jalapeño Salsa

Slightly spicy from the jalapeños and chilli flakes, this fresh tomato salsa adds a nice freshness and flavour. Perfect spooned over tacos, bowls, grilled chicken, fish, and more.

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium tomatoes, roughly chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1–2 tsp finely chopped pickled jalapeños
  • ¾ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp chilli flakes, or to taste
  • ¾ tsp sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • (Optional: White/yellow onion)

Instructions:

    Roughly chop the tomatoes into small bite-sized pieces and add them to a bowl.

    2. Add the lime juice, jalapeños, cumin, chilli flakes, salt, and a generous pinch of black pepper.

    3. Stir well and taste. Add a little more salt, lime, or jalapeño if needed.

    4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or ideally overnight, to allow the flavours to develop.

    5. Give the salsa a final stir before serving and spoon over bowls, tacos, grilled chicken, fish, or roasted vegetables.
