With green peas adding a vibrant green colour and subtle sweetness, paired with the nuttiness of tahini, the brightness of lemon, and the freshness of mint, this green pea dip is creamy yet light and refreshing. Serve with cut vegetables, pita or crackers.

Ingredients

Main

  • 1 cup (150 g) frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp (45 g) tahini
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of ½ lemon (about 1½ tbsp)
  • Zest of ½ lemon
  • 1–2 tbsp water (to adjust consistency)
  • ¼ tsp salt, or to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • A small handful of fresh mint or parsley (mint really enhances flavour)

Instructions

1. Defrost peas

  1. Place peas in a bowl, pour over hot water to defrost, let them sit for 1-2 min.

2. Blend

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

3. Adjust

  1. Add more water or olive oil for a looser consistency. Season to taste with extra lemon, salt, or herbs.

Serving Suggestions

  • Perfect with Seed Crackers, or as a dip for raw vegetables, pita, or spread on toast.

Storage & Meal Prep

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4–5 days.

Variations & Substitutions

  • Spiced version: Add a pinch of cumin or coriander for warmth.
  • Creamier texture: Blend in a spoonful of Greek yogurt instead of tahini.

Enjoy!
